Our Story

How we got started and where we are headed

Hearing God's Call

The Journey Begins

Three years before The Fountain officially began, Pastor Andy Lett and his wife, Mandy, began to hear God’s call to eventually plant a new church designed to connect people who have been disconnected from the church, a relationship with Jesus Christ, and who were searching for the life that God offers.

Making the Move

Called to Suwanee & South Forsyth

In June 2011, the Lett’s vision intersected the vision of The North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church as Andy was appointed to plant The Fountain Church. We started with just 2 people and dream from God. Nine months later, The Fountain officially began.

Opening Our Doors

The Fountain Launches

The Fountain Church officially launched on March 4, 2012. From the beginning, what has driven our ministry is God’s vision to reach new people with the love of Jesus Christ.

We started weekly worship at Johns Creek Elementary School, a recognizable community location, which matches our vision to be a church for the whole community and a church that goes where people are to bring them closer to Jesus.

Launching Two Campuses

Merger with Sugarloaf and our first permanent campus

On April 10, 2022, Sugarloaf UMC merged with The Fountain Church to become The Fountain Church – ONE Church with TWO Campuses. The Sugarloaf campus became our first permanent campus with a 24/7 presence. Located at the border of Suwanee and Duluth, the beautiful Sugarloaf campus has 60,000 square feet of facilities and over 22 acres. After 25 years of ministry as Sugarloaf UMC, both churches came together with a unified Kingdom-advancing vision to impact more people. In December 2022, both campuses began worshiping together at The Fountain Church – Sugarloaf Campus allowing us to accelerate our mission and reach more people more quickly.
